Economic Appraisals / Evaluations and Due Diligence:
- Preparation of numerous Economic Appraisals for Cross Border projects seeking Peace II or Interreg IIIA assistance on behalf of the SEUPB.
- Preparation of several Economic Appraisals for Invest NI including the Invest NI Broadband Demand Stimulation Programme and the Invest NI TV Campaign promoting Broadband.
- Preparation of several Economic Appraisals for cross border projects seeking Peace II assistance under Measure 5.1 and Measure 5.4 on behalf of Co-operation Ireland.
- Numerous Economic Appraisals on community projects submitted to the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland under Measures 5.3 and 5.4 seeking Peace II assistance.
- A number of economic appraisals for Border Action on projects seeking Peace II extension funding.

- Assistance in the Systems Audit which examined the systems in place to support the efficient and effective administration and use of EU and other funds by the Special EU Programmes Body.
- Assistance in Financial Review and Due Diligence undertaken in respect of a multi-funded project including confirming all sources of funding and identifying any deficit in funding, preparing financial projections and assessing the management capacity to complete the construction phase of the project and to manage the project when operational.
- Assistance in an assignment awarded by the SEUPB to carry out a Due Diligence Report on a complex funding organisation. This involved undertaking a review of structures in place and to report any concerns or irregularities discovered so as to make key recommendations to the key stakeholders concerned.
- Lead Consultant and Project Manager of the Financial Verification of Peace II funded projects undertaken for CFNI
- Article 4 check undertaken on a Peace II funded project for CFNI.
- Undertaken a number of reviews on projects in receipt of European funding to consider a number of management and operational issues including concerns arising over Corporate Governance, future viability of projects, management structures, eligibility of expenditure, related party concerns and overhead apportionment of multiple funded projects.
Consultancy:
- Lead Consultant in the Strategic Development Plan facilitated by FPM for CAWT for 2007 – 2013.
- Provision of mentoring to various start up companies preparing Business Plans, grant applications and setting up management controls.
- Participation in the provision of training on UCIT and Plato Programmes.
- Prepared bank proposals for a number of companies looking to expand operations.
- Prepared detailed financial projections and analysis for a range of companies considering moving into new markets and introducing new products.
- Assistance provided to clients on reviewing and improving financial and management controls to enable them to efficiently manage their business.

Industry Experience:
During my six months in industry as Financial Controller I was responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts for two fuel companies, one registered in the Republic of Ireland, a property rental company and also a petrol station. I was involved in overseeing the financial operations of the company on a day to day basis.
Other:
- Assistance to clients on Company Secretarial matters.
- Development of IT skills including gaining a firm knowledge of packages such as Work, Excel, Lotus 123, SAGE Accounting and SAGE Taxation.
