Audit and Accounts Preparation:

  • Audit Manager on a range of assignments where responsibilities included planning, budgeting and co-ordinating of the audit work, in addition to the supervision of the audit team.  These include the following companies:
  • Group manufacturing high quality giftware – total turnover approximately £26m – companies located in Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Britain;  
  • Engineering companies;
  • Fuel Distributors/Electrical Distributors;
  • Property investment company;
  • Computer software manufacturers;
  • Manufacturers of concrete products;
  • Manufacturers of heating appliances;
  • Motor Dealers;Architects; 
  • andVarious retailing companies with numerous outlets.

  • Preparation of Sole Trader Accounts.
  • Preparation of Partnership Accounts.

Taxation:

  • Assisting Tax Partner with tax compliance and tax planning assignments

  • preparation of personal, partnership and corporate tax returns under the new system of Self Assessment as well as the former system;

  • Preparation of Business Plans for a number of manufacturing and service industry clients, including where necessary detailed marketing assessments, product review and action plans for change in organisational/ management structures as well as Financial Projections and sensitivity analysis.
  • Preparation of numerous Business Plans for joint venture projects across a wide range of industries.
  • Preparation of Business Valuations for a diverse range of businesses and industries.
  • Commercial and residential property development.
  • Assisted various clients in obtaining finance including a number of start up companies.
  • Carried out due diligence exercises prior to the acquisition of businesses.

Corporate and Business Banking:
  • Management of a wide ranging portfolio of customers in the following sectors:
  • Manufacturing, services and retail;
  • Financial institutions and semi state bodies;
  • Pharmaceutical and healthcare; and
  • Commercial and residential property development.
  • Working closely in multi disciplined teams including lawyers, auditors and valuers on acquisitions of companies.
  • Preparation of credit applications and subsequent negotiations with credit department for a wide range of proposals ranging from £50k to £10m.
